After a small break from supper clubs, Hive Dine is back with our fête du poulet. Join us for a Summer celebration of big French flavours centring around the chicken.
Set back where it all started, Y Stordy, you will be greeted with a crisp Kerisac Breton Cider and a selection of French charcuterie. We will then sit to share our chicken terrine with hunks of Angel Bakery sourdough, and a talk on Cider production. In the background we will be grilling spatchcock chicken basted in garlic and parsley butter, served alongside grilled corn, burnt onion mayonnaise; our signature red cabbage slaw and leaves.
For our vegetarian guest, you will have a special menu of wild mushroom pate followed by grilled squash, burrata, served alongside grilled corn, burnt onion mayonnaise, our signature red cabbage slaw and leaves.
Portions are generous, and there’ll be plenty to go round.
To accompany the feast, we will be serving natural wines. All of our wines are from small growers, who make wines that we find exciting, vibrant and delicious. In general, they are at the very least organic, rely on natural yeasts for fermentation with minimal additions in the cellar, sometimes none.
We work with many small independents to make our suppers come together, this time expect to find products from:
Blaencamel Organic Farm, Lampeter
J. T. Morgan's Butchers, Cardiff
Cheese Pantry, Cardiff
Wrights Wines, Cardiff
Trecastle Eggs, Brecon Beacons
Rival Brewing Co, Cardiff
Angel Bakery, Abergavenny
Please note that due to the nature of our events we might not be able to accommodate some dietary requirements, if you have any questions, please contact us before you book. We will always provide a vegetarian and vegan option with notice at the time of booking.
